Jan Peeters (1912-1992) was educated at the Institute for Applied Arts Education and the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam. He painted, drew and watercoloured figure representations, landscapes, nudes and still lifes and was active as a monumental artist. He made mosaics, murals and windows, among other things.
