Saraochim Salim (1908 Indonesia-2008 Paris) Painter, came to the Netherlands in 1919. Studied in Paris at the l'Académie de la Grande Chaumière and then at the l'Académie Fernad Lêger. Worked in Amsterdam during the war years, was active in the resistance, but in 1946, disappointed with the Indonesian policy of the Dutch government, he returned to Paris where he died penniless in 2008.
