Theo van der Horst (1921-2003) studied at the Academy 'Kunstoefening' in Arnhem from 1936-1940, with JHE Schilling as his teacher glass painting. He was a painter, sculptor and stained glass artist. Theo van der Horst was born in Arnhem in 1921. Although he exhibited in galleries and museums until the seventies, he then chose a hermit's existence. He painted in an expressionist style. The subjects and art direction were mainly people, animals and landscapes.
